You’re Sublime by Stampin’ Up!® is a cool stamp set with a frog, crab, caravan, barrow of flowers, submarine and of course quirky sentiments to match the images! For this week’s Global Design project I’ve teamed the caravan up with the designer series paper stack “A Little Foxy” and lettering from the Labeler Alphabet!
This week’s challenge #046 is a sketch by the amazingly talented Teneale Williams.
I love this little caravan and have visions of how it’s decorated inside! I decided the window looked a little blank so decided to put the cute little faces up against it! I cut them out of the catalogue and coloured them in!
The colours in “A Little Foxy” DSP stack are clean and fresh and I love the cute patterns. It makes it so easy to co-ordinate.The Labeler Alphabet stamp set is one of my favourites at the moment – it’s so versatile and has so many possibilities – what did I use before this?
This card is for a friend’s daughter who is off to China tomorrow for two years teaching – such an amazing adventure. Good luck Becky you’ll be fabulous and the kids will love you!
Have a great weekend everyone – Angela x
PS I was picked as a winner again this week – so thrilled – thanks GDP!
Yep starting to get a very bad reputation for being late but I have a perfectly good excuse I’m still sick (going for the sympathy vote here)! Over 10 days and I’m only just starting to feel a bit better – well enough to make a card but nothing else! And you know there’s no way I was going to miss a GDP challenge and the opportunity to be picked as a guest designer.I love these colours together. So many endless possibilities. The Smoky Slate/Whisper White Striped DSP is from “A Little Foxy” DSP Stack and made the perfect backdrop for the Melon Mambo coloured flowers from the “Helping Me Grow” stamp set. And the “Labeler Alphabet” stamp set is certainly earning its keep!
Right I’m off to put my feet up! See you soon – Angela x
I know I’m leaving it till the last minute again! I have a perfectly good reason – I’m sick! Also life has been kind of crazy around here this week with school holidays and my husband and I working extra long hours so we can take some time off next week. But I certainly wasn’t going to let a bad cold get in the way of a 44 week straight run of Global Design Project challenges.Steffi Helmschrott is the designer of the gorgeous card we are CASEing and this is my take on her card! I switched things around a bit and made the background behind my butterfly gold rather than the butterfly.I wanted to give the Gold Foil Sheet a bit of texture so I ran it through the Big Shot with a piece of Glimmer Paper so it roughed it up a bit!
I’m looking forward to next week’s challenge and the opportunity to be a Guest Designer on the Global Design Project – what a honour that would be!
Have a great week and look forward to seeing you again soon – Angela x
I’ve combined the Pop of Paradise stamp set with the Pop of Pink DSP for this week’s Global Design Project #043 | Theme Challenge: Party.I love all the preparation that goes into organising a party and over the years my girls have had a myriad of themes ranging from visiting the city’s wildlife park to facial and manicure parties. Deciding on a theme and co-ordinating the cake, games, decorations and goodie bags have brought me endless hours of pleasure and hopefully memories for them to treasure in years to come.
This little thank you “goodie” box is a “Diamond Box” and despite looking difficult to make is actually extremely easy and uses the Gift Bag Punch Board. If you’d like a copy of my written instructions please leave your details in the comments below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s the first day of the July School Holidays but my fitness class is on as usual so I’m dragging one of my daughters along – it’s outside and right now the temperature is 0°C with a high today of 9°C!
See you again soon – take care Angela x
“Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.” – Mother Teresa
You just never know how much smiling and saying hello can mean to someone. I often wonder about the elderly I see at our local village shops – have they seen or spoken to anyone today, yesterday or in the last week? Or the frazzled mother who just needs a “knowing smile” when their child is having a temper tantrum at the supermarket. Your smile could be the little ray of sunshine that brightens up their day!
I used my new Labeler Alphabet stamp set for the Hello. I love that it looks great whether you line the letters up or not! I also layered up the Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies for added dimension. And to finish it off I decorated the inside using the Helping Me Grow stamp set.
This card is for Kylie Bertucci’s International Stampin’ Up!® Blog Highlight and the theme is “From me to you when you are feeling blu”.
Please use this link http://www.craftykylie.com/2016/07/international-blog-highlights-vote-for.html to pop over and have a look at all the cards and hopefully vote for me!
I’ve got a friend going through a tough time at the moment so some spring flowers along with this card will hopefully give her a bit of a lift!Have a great week and see you back here soon – Angela x
