The Affectionately Yours Speciality DSP from Stampin’ Up! is a beautiful collection of patterned papers with lovely colours and different floral patterns. I chose Watermelon Wonder and Night of Navy to co-ordinate with two of the patterned papers to create my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge.
The “Hope your day is wonderful!” sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings set and is white embossed on Night of Navy cardstock. If I had a list of must have stamp sets, Cottage Greetings would definitely be on it!
And the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies are making another appearance this time with the medium butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies nestled on top.I finished my card off with an insert using Happy Birthday from the Cottage Greetings set and a strip of DSP to match the front of the card.
I hope you enjoyed my card today, if so, please leave me a comment. I love hearing from you – Angela x
I’m getting in early with my card for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge which is a “Teneale Williams” special. I love it when Monday comes around and the latest challenge is up! Here’s the sketch:Of course there is lots of fabulous inspiration from the Design Team and in the gallery. Be sure to pop over and take a look!I couldn’t wait to get my ideas for this card onto
paper cardstock! It’s simple but glitzy! The Pop of Paradise stamp set and the co-ordinating Pop of Pink DSP are sooooo cute – Stampin’ Up!® have co-ordination nailed! And Swirly Scribbles Thinlits also make an appearance in Gold Glimmer paper.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, please feel free to leave me a comment – I’d love to hear from you.
Have a fabulous week – Angela x
Hello and welcome to my blog on this wet and cold day here in Christchurch. My husband is at work and my teenage girls are happy doing their own thing so it’s a great opportunity to come into my craft room and have a play.
My card combines two challenges. I have been wanting to do the final challenge on the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog for ages – it’s their 300th challenge and their last – so today was the day.
And I teamed it up with this colour challenge on Sunday Stamps:
And here’s my card:
It was certainly a challenge but I think it turned out okay in the end and hopefully the recipient of the card will think so too! I’m sending it to a fellow Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator who has been very kind and supportive of me and I think he’s “Toadally Awesome”!I think this little frog is so cute and the sentiment is perfect!
Have a fabulous week and see you soon – Angela x
This week the Global Design Project has a colour challenge and the colours look amazing together –
I couldn’t wait to play along and thankfully it was a fairly streamlined process!
The Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper was a perfect fit for this challenge especially teamed up with the Sweet Sugar Plum ruched ribbon and swirly flower.
For extra dimension I added the swirl from the cut out pieces and topped it with a White Perfect Accent. The white embossed Happy Birthday on the Night of Navy just finishes it off – navy always looks so smart!
I’ve been busy preparing for a Stampin’ Up!® Day here in Christchurch on the 2nd – making samples and items for display – look out for a sneak peek!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog, it’s a pleasure having you here – Angela xxx
This week the challenge over at Global Design Project is to CASE one of Shawn de Oliveira’s gorgeous cards. Here is his inspirational card:And here’s my card –Using my aqua pen and the inside lid of the Dapper Denim stampin’ pad I watercoloured the background and once it was dry (I hurried this up with the hairdrier!) I gold embossed the flowers. The “THANKS” sentiment is also from this set – isn’t the font cool?
And I’m thrilled to say my card for last week’s challenge received a …
Yes it was also with the Helping Me Grow stamp set! This set has so many cute little extras in it – I may need to challenge myself to use them all!
Can you believe it’s the weekend again? I’m hoping the weather is warm enough to get out into the garden.
Have a lovely weekend – Angela x
Hi Everyone hope you are having a great day. I’m squeezing this post in between beauty therapy clients so it’ll have to be short! As I love watercolouring I couldn’t resist the latest challenge over on the Can You Case It! blog and as I’ve also just received the You’re Sublime stamp set in my latest order it was “a fait accompli”.I used the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper – the colours are so fresh and clear – and teamed it up with pool party.Watercolouring can be daunting at first but once you get started it lots of fun and it doesn’t have to be perfect – I actually think it looks better if it isn’t. Stampin’ Up have two great products for watercolouring, the first is the Watercolor Paper and the second is the Shimmery White (I’ve used the Shimmery White one here).
The You’re Sublime stamp set has four other cute images to colour in and they’re all so cute and quirky!
I’m off to the musical Hairspray tonight, which I’m so looking forward to, will let you know what it’s like.
See you soon Angela x
This week’s Global Design Project is a Get Well Soon Theme Challenge and I definitely wanted to be more organised than last week! It’s cold and wet here in Christchurch today so it’s a perfect day to be in my craft room (well any day’s perfect but especially today)!
The Helping Me Growth stamp set is one of my new favourites so I had my heart set on using it and making everything work around it! I stamped the Sending Wishes Your Way stamp from the Butterfly Basics set inside the frame from Helping Me Grow and although it’s not technically saying Get Well Soon the sentiment is there!I stamped the flower on the card base with Versamark. I love the watermark effect it creates. The Versamark pad is such a versatile pad and I think one of my first “card-making” purchases all those years ago.I also love a bit of bling, sparkle or glitter and the Wink of Stellar pen is perfect for some subtle sparkle.
I’m giving a shout out to TAMS (These Are My Stamps) who I’m using for my product list. For someone who “NEVER” reads instructions (or if I do – not properly and only if I have to) – I managed to get the following Product List and details without reading a thing!
I thought I’d sneak this photo in here of my girls – they’ll never know!
Have a great week – Angela x
