Thanks Again, GDP

GDP027 Thank you.jpg The theme challenge over at Global Design Project this week is “Thank You” and each team member has chosen someone to receive one of their amazing creations – congratulations to those lucky recipients. untitledaas.pngOnce again I’ve used my favourite DSP – Birthday Bouquet and teamed it up with stamps from Gorgeous Grunge, Number of Years and Cottage Greetings. The vellum butterfly comes from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.untitled

And here’s the inside … If you’re wondering why you’ve never seen the inside of one of my cards that’s because there usually isn’t one! I end up with a pile of cards needing inserts so a challenge to myself is to make it when I make the card!untitleda.png

Making a thank you card brought up the importance of saying thank you – not just assuming someone knows you are thankful but saying it. And saying it before it’s too late!

Every three weeks I visit a rest home where I give my “little old ladies” a little bit of tlc – mostly in the form of a manicure. I usually love these days as I get to have a chat, learn some valuable pieces of advice, and enjoy the slower more sophisticated pace of life. Today I’m not so keen on going as one of my favourites won’t be there, sadly she passed away on Saturday. She was a very wise and gracious woman who I will be eternally grateful to have known – so thank you Dot may you rest in peace.

Have a great day everyone and remember to say thank you – I know I will!

Angela x

I’d love to send you a thank you card too so if you’d like one, just email me with your postal address 🙂

  4. Here from GDP… very pretty card! Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. Maybe you could make her a thank you card telling her why she was special to you and place it at her grave?

  5. Hey Angela, I love your card but I loved reading your post so much! I just want to hug you because you seem so lovely! You are so right about the importance of making thank you cards and not just thinking they know you are grateful. I am just having a massive love fest with your card but I also LOVE that you started to decorate the inside of your card, I think it finishes off a card.

Thank you for playing with us at Global Design Project and sharing a lovely story about Dot.

  6. SOOO sweet! Love your combination of shapes and textures. I leave my cards blank inside so I have plenty of room to write what I want to say inside. 🙂 Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s “thank you” theme at Global Design Project.
