The theme challenge over at Global Design Project this week is “Thank You” and each team member has chosen someone to receive one of their amazing creations – congratulations to those lucky recipients. Once again I’ve used my favourite DSP – Birthday Bouquet and teamed it up with stamps from Gorgeous Grunge, Number of Years and Cottage Greetings. The vellum butterfly comes from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.
And here’s the inside … If you’re wondering why you’ve never seen the inside of one of my cards that’s because there usually isn’t one! I end up with a pile of cards needing inserts so a challenge to myself is to make it when I make the card!
Making a thank you card brought up the importance of saying thank you – not just assuming someone knows you are thankful but saying it. And saying it before it’s too late!
Every three weeks I visit a rest home where I give my “little old ladies” a little bit of tlc – mostly in the form of a manicure. I usually love these days as I get to have a chat, learn some valuable pieces of advice, and enjoy the slower more sophisticated pace of life. Today I’m not so keen on going as one of my favourites won’t be there, sadly she passed away on Saturday. She was a very wise and gracious woman who I will be eternally grateful to have known – so thank you Dot may you rest in peace.
Have a great day everyone and remember to say thank you – I know I will!
