Zoo Babies + Balloon Builders = Global Design Project Colour Challenge #029
This week the challenge is a trio of Tangelo Twist, Bermuda Bay and Early Espresso. I love the depth of these colours and think they work really well together.
The Design Team have come up with some amazing cards in these colour combinations so be sure to check them out over at GDP. It’s amazing how so many unique cards can be created each week!
And this is my card using this colour combination –
It took three stamp sets to make this one little card – Zoo Babies, Balloon Builders and Number of Years and getting Party Animal lined up in the banner took quite a bit of patience! I also stamped the giraffe off once and the swoosh off twice to tone the Early Espresso down a bit. Here’s a close up:
I was so keen to get my card posted I haven’t even done an insert – a task for tomorrow. My girls have an extra day this Easter so we are still in relaxed mode for another day!
Take care and thanks for taking the time to pop in on my blog – Angela x
Just a quick challenge or two before I start my day! Once again I’ve combined two challenges, this time I’ve used the Sunday Stamps sketch –
And the Pals Paper Arts colour challenge –The Sunday Stamps challenge closes at 11am so nothing like leaving it to the last minute. Here’s my card:
Right I’m off to post this now before it closes – have a great day – Angela x
Okay this is definitely going to be my last card today – thank goodness I hear you say! This card is for my brother-in-law and I used a challenge new to me – Match the Sketch.
I think it has helped my creative thinking by having both a challenge to do and a person to make it for. So without further ado here is my card:
Right I’m off now – thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to leave me a comment – it’s always nice to know who’s popped in. Thanks Angela x
Yip still in my pj’s and here’s card number 4!
This card is for two challenges CAS(E) this Sketch! and Stamp Ink Paper. The sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch is –
And the challenge for Stamp Ink Paper is –
I chose Buttons, Congrats and Ribbon for the Tic-Tac-Toe.
Right off to my next challenge! I don’t need to cook dinner tonight as my eldest daughter wants to get some practice in for her Food and Nutrition course at school – I’m definitely happy about that!
Bye for now – Angela x
Yes I’m still in my pj’s and stamping! I’ve just completed another challenge – this time it’s Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and here is the sketch –
I’ve got my birthday list out and I’m making the cards for particular people so it feels good to be getting organised. Here’s my card –
I’ve used the It’s My Party DSP again with the Sale-A-Bration Flowering Fields stamp set. I hope my friend likes it when she receives it!
Okay I’m off to look up another challenge – see you soon – Angela x
Is it okay to stay in my pj’s all day and make cards? After my stressful day yesterday I think the answer is yes! Abbey has just made me lunch, Sophie is making me a cup of tea, the kitten is sleeping and so is Frank after an early morning shift – life is good!
I should be making my swaps for On-Stage in Auckland next month but hey I’ve got three weeks! So instead I thought I’d do another challenge, this time for Mojo Monday. Here is the sketch –And here is my card
Despite the fact that I don’t make many masculine cards this turned out better than I had expected. The “Sky is the Limit” stamp set is a Sale-A-Bration one and while it was originally only a Limited Time product there are still more available but only till 31 March!
Right I’m off again to make another card – see you soon – Angela x
Hello and welcome to my blog. This week the Global Design Project #028 is Case the Designer and the designer is the talented and gorgeous Jessica Williams. I received this beautiful thank you card from Jess last week – it totally made my day!
Even the envelope looked gorgeous!
So I hope I do justice to Jess’s card this week …
This is the GDP’s CASE definition … “When we say we are CASEing Jess – at the Global Design Project we mean Copy and Selectively Edit. So you might take just one element or many elements from Jessica’s card. It might be the colours, layout, the stamp set used one of the embellishments… whatever you like that inspires you and then make it your own.”
When I’d finished making this card and photographing it yesterday I was feeling quite happy with myself but that was very short lived! I suddenly thought where is our little kitten? I couldn’t find her anywhere and noticed the window onto the deck was open a bit more than I would have opened it. After a tearful hunt around the neighbourhood, calls to the SPCA and the vet I was beginning to wonder how I was going to tell the girls I had lost Peyton! As she’d never been outside and we’d only had her for two weeks we hadn’t needed to call her so I didn’t know what she’d respond to. Then I remembered when I’d started feeding her tinned food I had tapped the tin three times on the bench and she would come running. So I took a tin of food outside and started tapping it on the metal of the trampoline. Then from the corner of my eye I saw a paw and a little face peeking out from under the deck! I was so relieved! It only took another 3 hours to coax her out from under there but that was way better than any of the other scenarios I had envisioned! Here’s the little culprit!
She looks like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth!
So now it’s the next day and I’m finally getting to post my card!
I hope you have a Happy Easter – Angela x
