Flowering Fields are CAS-ING the Designer this week for the Global Design Project #024 .
The Flowering Fields Sale-A-Bration set is soooo cute and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make a card using it! As I wanted a tall image the flowers in this set were perfect – it was just a matter of which one! Here is Michelle’s gorgeous card …
And here’s my version …
I followed the layout and the blue colouring – it was a great card to CASE – lots of inspiration.
I used quite a number of the Silver Thread strands to wrap around the top layer and tie in a bow – what did we do before Silver/Gold Thread?
If you’ve noticed any glitches on my blog – my apologies – I’m trying to sort them out. I’m absolutely hopeless when it comes to technology and it’s raising its “ugly head”. Hopefully it’ll all be sorted soon.
Thanks and have a great weekend – Angela x
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I’m playing along with the Global Design Project Theme Challenge #023. This week the theme is “Balloons”. Every week there is so much fabulous inspiration from the Design Team and in the project gallery!
I just love the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack as the colours are so bright and fresh. And as Parties and Balloons go hand in hand I thought it would be the perfect match.
To get the baker’s twine to twist I ran my bone scorer down it several times until I got the amount of curling I wanted and I also dabbed a tiny bit of glue at one point to anchor it to the paper. It won’t be a “sending in the post” kind of card!
I’m off to Wellington tomorrow for the Royal Edinburg Military Tattoo. It’s going to be an exciting fun-filled 24 hour trip with my dear friend Yvonne!
So I’ll see you when I’m back – have a great weekend and take care Angela x
Just popping in quickly to post this card before I start work for the day! Once again I’ve put two challenges together – one colour and one sketch.
For the colour challenge from CYCI#107 A Color Challenge I used Elegant Eggplant, Kraft and Whisper White. Using Elegant Eggplant was way out of my comfort zone – I’m just not a purple kind of girl – but I’m always up for a challenge!
And for the sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch #159 I used the Wildflower Fields DSP from the Sale-A-Bration 2016 again and coloured in the spots! Move over fussy cutting!
With this sketch the background is the star so that made it quite a different concept from the cards I usually make.
Thank you for visiting my blog – Angela x
Today I’ve had lots of fun with two challenges – The Papers Players PP282 – A Color Challenge from Laurie and Sunday Stamps SSC120 It’s a Sketch!
The colours in the challenge matched the Schoolhouse DSP perfectly. I also used a sheet of the Wildflower Fields DSP (Sale-A-Bration 2016) and coloured in the little circles to match.
It was such a great layout to work with – I’ll definitely be using it again.
Now the next photograph will definitely need some explaining … It’s not the exact one I used but there’s a pile of them in the rubbish bin and I wasn’t about to fossick around in there too much!
This was my “stamp pad” for my Hello stamp. I dripped ink from my re-inkers onto a baby wipe and then stamped. If you put them in a plastic bag they can be used again. It’s a great way to get different colours on your stamps without messing up your stamp pads.
My girls will be home from school soon so I had better finish up and get ready for
the onslaught their arrival!
Thanks for popping by – Angela x
Here’s the card I created for this week’s Global Design Project #022 | Sketch Challenge. It’s hard to believe I’m up to card number 22! Every Monday I wait until the new challenge for the week has been posted before I go to bed – thank goodness the time difference isn’t hideous!
I made my card in all these gorgeous pinks yesterday and then this morning decided to make a male version.
As you know male cards aren’t my forte but I think this turned out okay! Here’s the sketch my card is based on –
I’ve made some subtle changes but the idea is there!
The stamp set and paper I’ve used are both Limited Editions in the 2016 Sale-A-Bration catalogue and are only available through 15 February 2016 so be in quick if you’d like to get these.
There’ll be new Sale-A-Bration products coming 16 February – yay!
See you soon Angela x
This week over at Pals Paper Arts there is a sketch challenge and I had just received the It’s My Party DSP Stack and was keen to use it. So I teamed it up with the Honeycomb Happiness (Sale-A-Bration) set which I love – they are all sooooooooo cute!
I started making my card last night but at 11pm I decided to call it a night. Nothing like a good night’s sleep to give you a fresh start and clarity.
This morning I came up with the idea to make the strip in the middle a vellum tag. The Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack is also a Sale-A-Bration freebie!
It was fun making this card and think it might even end up as an Easter card!
Here’s a close up of the balloon’s string which I made by twisting 6 strands of the Gold Metallic Thread and the Gold Glitter on the balloon was sprinkled onto the Crystal Effects before it dried.
Thanks for calling in – Angela x
And welcome to my new blog address. A big shout out to my friend Anita who has been helping me with my blog and changing over to WordPress! I’m still in the process of making changes but in the meantime I was keen to post a card and get this party started!
This is my entry for the latest Global Design Project Challenge #021 Colour Challenge.
Aren’t the colours super cute?
I added Crystal Effects to the balloons then sprinkled Stampin’ Glitter over them while the Crystal Effects was still wet. I now have glitter everywhere – but I kind of like seeing sparkles of glitter in obscure places during the day – makes me smile!
Be sure to pop over and take a look at the Global Design Project #021 | Colour Challenge. There are so many gorgeous cards to look at.
Take care and thanks for stopping by Angela x
